Electrical BIM Drafter/Coordinator - Tier 1 - REVIT MEP

The Company

This electrical contractor, and multi-services business, has seen continuous success over the past 30+ years, moving from a smaller-scale contractor to a major player (if not the number one player) the the Australian market.

Involved in electrical projects from $500k to upwards of $20 million+ within the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors, and have recently expanded their premises to accommodate growth.

The Role

As part of the Drafting and Engineering team, you will work closely with the BIM Lead, and Engineers in producing designs and shop drawings using your strong experience in REVIT MEP, and your ability to work with all internal and external stakeholders involved in the job.

Drawings will be based on high level engineering designs and will be optimised through ongoing coordination meetings with the builder and other building services contractors to address clash detection issues, and to synergy and project flow.

Your role would be project specific, leading your jobs through initial design stages, to variations, to completion and handover. 

Requirements

It is imperative that all applicants have sound working knowledge of REVIT MEP, and have been using it on electrical projects in an Australian setting for at least 3 years, preferably more.

Perhaps you are in a REVIT Drafter role now for a smaller tier firm, and looking for a step up to a tier 1 firm locally, or you are looking for a better life balance or a more convenient daily commute.

You will understand what is expected in terms of Australian standards, and have superb communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to attend and retain important project information collated from ongoing meetings.
